• Where is Big Canyon Gun Club located:

    BCGC is located within the Three Rivers Landowner Association gated community between Madras and Sisters, Oregon.

  • Can anyone shoot at the range:

    Open shooting is for Landowners and invited guests.  Organized shoots on 3-day weekends are open by contacting club.

  • Are there organized matches to shoot:

    Trap shooting, 5-stand shooting, Practical Pistol matches are conducted on three day weekends, check posted calendar.

  • What are hours of shooting:

    8AM to dusk the range is open - Dusk is when you cannot see sun over rimrock in canyon.

  • What types of firearms can be shot at the range:

    22 to 50 caliber firearms can be fired at the range.

  • What is rifle range distance:

    Rifle range is 25 to 100 yards. Pistol bays are 25 yards.

  • Fire Season:

    Lake Chinook Fire declares extreme fire risk. Fire season typically ranges between July and October. During this time, range is closed unless a Range Safety Officer (RSO) is on site. BCGC tries to keep range open 8 to noon on weekends.

  • Does BCGC own the range property:

    The range property is owned by landowners of Three Rivers and managed by the Three Rivers board of directors, who work closely with BCGC's board of directors.

  • How are Range Rules enforced:

    Range rules are posted at each range shooting area. If violations of rules occur, the infractions are discussed with the shooter by a certified Range Safety Officer. If shooter does not comply with the rules, their name and/or license plate number is turned in to the Rules and Regulations committee for review, and appropriate action will be taken. If another shooter observes rule violations, please take photo and get license plate ID, and turn into the Three Rivers gate.
